CANDIDATE PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must Haves:
• A post graduate degree with minimum 7- 10 years of experience with strong understanding of economic development issues, especially related to food security, agriculture, essential services and climate change.
• A background in private sector engagement with up to date knowledge of CSR and how it is developing particularly with regards to developing markets, and an ability and a track record for raising resource for private sector strategy.
• Proven experience of policy analysis and advocacy work and ability to negotiate and agree policy positions amongst different stakeholders.
• Proven experience of developing, negotiating and agreeing influencing strategies with partners and alliances, with demonstrable skills in planning and implementing campaign strategies.
• A demonstrable experience of both constructing and brokering multi sector partnerships and a good understanding of the principles of partnership.
• Track record in policy influencing on economic justice issues and knowledge of relevant national, regional and international institutions is desirable.
• A knowledge and understanding of Fair Trade Principles
